We’re currently enrolling students for the 2026–27 school year and meeting with families interested in enrolling for 2027–28.
Focus Plus Academy currently serves grades 6–9, with plans to grow thoughtfully toward a full grade 6–12 program.
Because Focus Plus Academy is intentionally small and designed for a specific student profile, admissions is a fit-based process. We take time to understand each student’s strengths, needs, learning profile, and current school experience to determine whether our structure, flexibility, and support model are a good match.
A Thoughtful Fit-Based Process
Focus Plus Academy is not trying to be the right school for every student.
We are building a small, structured, and flexible school community for bright, neurodivergent learners who may benefit from a different kind of school environment — one where students are known well and given the structure, flexibility, and support they need to be successful.
As part of the admissions process, we take time to understand each student’s strengths, learning profile, school history, support needs, and family goals.
If we do not believe Focus Plus Academy can appropriately support a student, we will communicate that with families as early as possible
in the admissions process.
How the Admissions Process Begins
The first step is to complete an enrollment inquiry form. This helps us learn more about your child, your family’s goals, and what you are looking for in a school.
After we review your inquiry, a member of our team will follow up to schedule an initial conversation.
Families who appear to be a possible fit may then be invited to continue through the admissions process. This may include a parent conversation, review of student records, a formal application, parent tour, student visit, or school meeting.

Tuition and Financial Aid
Focus Plus Academy is an approved NCSEAA Direct Payment School, which means eligible families may be able to use Opportunity Scholarship and/or ESA+ funds toward tuition.
