Focus Plus Academy uses a thoughtful, fit-based enrollment process. Because our school is intentionally small and designed for a specific student profile, our goal is to understand each student’s needs, strengths, learning profile, and readiness for our school environment before offering enrollment.
How the Process Works
Our enrollment process strives to ensure that each student is the right fit for our school
and that we are the right fit for your family.
Step 1
Complete an
Enrollment Inquiry
The first step is to complete our Enrollment Inquiry form. This gives us basic information about your student.
Step 2
Initial
Conversation
After we receive your inquiry, a member of the Focus Plus Academy team will follow up to schedule an initial conversation. This gives us a chance to share more about the school, answer questions, and determine whether it makes sense to move forward.
Step 3
Complete an
Application
If Focus Plus Academy appears to be a possible fit, families will be invited to complete an application and submit relevant student records.
The application includes a non-refundable application fee, which is due at the time of submission.
Step 4
Parent Meeting and Records Review
After the application and records are received, our team may schedule a more in-depth parent meeting to better understand the student’s learning profile, school history, strengths, challenges, and support needs.
Step 5
Student Visit
Students may be invited to visit Focus Plus Academy so our team can get to know them and observe how they respond to the environment, adults, and school setting.
Step 6
Admissions Decision and Enrollment
After all steps are complete, the Focus Plus Academy team will review the application, records, parent meeting, and student visit. If enrollment is offered, families will receive enrollment paperwork and instructions for securing the student’s place.
